The <notation> tag defines one entry for a generated
<notation-list>. It contains a sample
<usage> in mathematics and a short
<description> explaining what the notation means.
A <notation> entry does not display where it is written. Place it near
the introduction of the notation, often in a paragraph or near a
<definition>.
